The latest Reuters/Ipsos survey, completed on November 2, puts President Donald Trump's approval rating at 32%, close to the lowest level of his second term.The same poll shows Democrats leading Republicans 46% to 38% on the generic congressional ballot among registered voters. That is an eight-point advantage, although it is narrower than the 11-point lead recorded in the previous week's survey. The numbers point to Democratic momentum in the national polling, but the final outcome will depend on contests across individual states and congressional districts.The economy is emerging as a central issue for voters. According to the Reuters/Ipsos poll, 78% of respondents said rising living costs were a very important or the most important issue influencing their vote.
