Marcos: Filipinos want cheaper power regardless of source

SINGAPORE — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said on Saturday Filipinos are now more concerned with getting cheaper electricity than with where it comes from, suggesting a shift in public attitudes toward nuclear energy despite longstanding safety concerns. Marcos said public concerns about nuclear safety appeared to be giving way to demands for more affordable electricity.
