New Bellingham Doggie Daycare & Pet Boarding Facility Opening Soon

The Puget Hound, a local pet care company, will be opening the doors to their new doggy daycare and kennel free boarding facility soon.

The Puget Hound, a local pet care company, will be opening the doors to their new doggy daycare and kennel free boarding facility soon. Renovations will be completed within the next week or so, and the custom designed building and play areas will be ready to accept new clients.

The site was previously abandoned and overgrown during the past few years, but The Puget Hound has transformed the building to allow for a more comforting environment for dogs to stay while their owners are away.

Unlike traditional boarding kennels, the renovated building will allow for “pet sleepovers” complete with constant staff supervision and more social interaction with both playmates and their caretakers. The company is leaving some individual privacy suites for dogs who prefer their own space, but the majority of the building will be dedicated to this new style of kennel based on requests from their existing clients.

In addition to the convenient pet boarding location near the airport, The Puget Hound has designed and built a very spacious dog daycare “adventure park” complete with agility and playground equipment for dogs to play together on during their extended stay, as well as daily visits during the workweek.

The Puget Hound also intends to eventually offer additional pet boarding for other small animals (cats, birds, rabbits, lizards, etc), as well as pet supplies, and possibly even grooming and training services in the near future.
