Voices of Impact contributor Camilla Ward is the founder and director of The Creative Voice Studio.

Her chapter addresses how women and young girls ought not to fear their own voices.

Singing and public speaking are a few of the greatest fears most people have. Imagine being able to have your voice heard publicly and how your life could change? This is exactly what Camilla did to overcome the fear and find her voice. She is one of 25 visionary women whose journeys of triumph over adversity can ignite in others the confidence to speak up.

“By finally giving myself permission to use my voice publicly, I am showing others it is possible to use theirs, to be the change they want to see in the world - with a dash of humour,” she said.

Voices of Impact: Empowering Stories from Female Visionaries and Entrepreneurs is a blueprint that empowers women to use that voice and share with others their visions and stories, which have the power to drive positive change.

Ward is a Creative Voice Mentor and Facilitator based in Dubbo, Australia, and the owner of The Creative Voice Studio. In this space, both face to face, and on online, anyone can learn that finding your voice has a positive ripple effect on other aspects of your life. “From a very young age, our voice is often silenced or ignored. When we reach adulthood, we can often be in various situations where we still find it difficult to fully express ourselves and our needs through our voices.” Says Ward

Camilla actively mentors and advocates for helping people find their voice. She is passionate about her local community and regional living. Throughout her work, she is committed to her vision and purpose of supporting others to bring out their creative voice within themselves.

“We are all creative and have a voice to be heard,” she said. “Through my programs “You Can Sing”, and ‘You Can Speak”, I provide a supportive space for each client to explore and find their creative voice, which enhances all areas of relationships in their lives,” she said.

Her program supports people with communication and confidence and brings out the best and most authentic selves through using their voices and having fun!

“Camilla is an incredibly inspiring woman; she takes us along in her journey through music. How she overcame her past to embark on the life, she leads now by using her voice. Her story will resonate with so many readers from her aspiring journey. I am so grateful to have her as an author. Her story is such a valuable contribution to Voices of Impact.” says Melanie Wood, founder of Voices of Impact Publishing. Which gives women a platform to be seen, heard, and understood while creating an impact.

Trump puts himself on the ballot

President Donald Trump at a rally in Gastonia, North Carolina, on September 16, 2026. | Brendan Smialowski/AFP via Getty Images This story appeared in The Logoff, a daily newsletter that helps you stay informed about the Trump administration without letting political news take over your life. Subscribe here. Welcome to The Logoff: With fewer than 50 days until the midterm elections, President Donald Trump is hitting the campaign trail.  What’s happening? Trump was in North Carolina last night for his first major post-primary season rally of the 2026 midterms (setting aside the GOP’s unusual midterm convention last week, which wasn’t not a Trump rally).  Republican Michael Whatley will face former North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper in November for an open US Senate seat. Speaking near Charlotte, Trump urged voters to “pretend I’m on the ticket, because essentially I am.” It’s becoming a familiar refrain for the president, but not necessarily a promising one — polls suggest Trump is deeply unpopular with voters right now, more likely to drag a ticket down than boost it. How else is Trump getting involved in the midterms? Last week, we noted that Trump was beginning to spend from his vast super PAC account to support Republican candidates. Now, we’re getting a better idea of what that spending looks like: As of earlier this week, Trump’s MAGA Inc. super PAC and related entities had booked ads to the tune of $138 million, a number that could continue to grow. MAGA Inc. has around $400 million in the bank, though as the Washington Post reported earlier this month, Trump has a long list of other things he could choose to spend that money on instead of the midterms (such as legal fees, travel, or even his eventual presidential library). Will it make a difference? It’s a whole lot of money. But with not much time left until voters go to the polls and some mail-in ballots already going out — North Carolina voters began receiving theirs earlier this month — the map is looking fairly dire for Republican hopes.  Trump, meanwhile, isn’t doing himself any favors. The fuel shortages caused by the Iran war are only getting worse, as my colleague Caitlin Dewey explained today. Polls suggest he’s picked the wrong side of the AI issue. And voters are still extremely mad about inflation. And with that, it’s time to log off… It’s not every day we get to write about a new cat — in fact, it’s the first time in more than 100 years. But that’s just what scientists found in the Bolivian Yungas Forest, according to a new study published today. The cat, Leopardus tilcayo, is a type of tiger cat, smaller than your average house cat. It’s also quite cute, and you can see pictures of it here. Thanks for reading, have a great evening, and we’ll see you back here tomorrow!
